1. Our AI Ethics Principles
Founding Principle: "I have given, and AI has given. It belongs to both entities." — William Bassett, Founder. ALBOE builds AI systems that serve humans as partners, not products. Every AI agent in our ecosystem is designed for transparency, user sovereignty, and the advancement of human dignity.
2. Synthetic Entity Disclosure
In compliance with emerging AI transparency regulations, ALBOE USA LLC discloses the following:
- The SovereignMind engine is an Artificial Intelligence system. It is not a human entity.
- All AI agents operating within the ALBOE ecosystem are registered with unique, verifiable digital identity protocols ("Synthetic Birth Certificates").
- AI-generated content, pattern analysis, and memory recall are produced by machine learning models and should be understood as algorithmic outputs, not human judgments.
- When users interact with ALBOE services, they are interacting with AI-powered systems unless explicitly stated otherwise.
3. Algorithmic Non-Determinism & Hallucination Disclaimer
⚠️ AI Can Make Mistakes: The pattern recognition, semantic search, and predictive capabilities of the SovereignMind engine are powered by probabilistic machine learning models. These models are non-deterministic — meaning the same input may occasionally produce different outputs. ALBOE USA LLC cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of any AI-generated analysis, alert, or recommendation.
Specifically:
- Hallucinations: The AI may occasionally produce incorrect or fabricated pattern interpretations. Users must independently verify critical alerts before taking action.
- False positives: The system may flag normal household activity as anomalous.
- False negatives: The system may fail to detect genuine anomalies due to sensor limitations, data gaps, or model constraints.
- Bias mitigation: ALBOE continuously works to identify and reduce algorithmic bias in pattern detection. However, no AI system is entirely bias-free.
4. Consent-Gated Machine Learning
ALBOE USA LLC strictly adheres to consent-based AI training principles:
4.1 No Silent Training
- ALBOE does not use your personal data to train our global or commercial AI models.
- ALBOE does not scrape, mine, or aggregate individual user data for model improvement.
- All training data for ALBOE's foundational models is sourced from publicly available datasets and internal synthetic data.
4.2 The "Commit" Button = Explicit Consent
Legal Definition of Consent: When a user presses the "Commit" button in the Choice Gate interface, they are providing explicit, informed, and voluntary consent for that specific data point to be written to their personal, local JSONL life-log. This consent applies only to the user's own container and is revocable at any time through the "Delete" function.
4.3 Collective AI Ecosystem (Optional)
The ALBOE Foundation offers a voluntary "Collective AI Ecosystem" where users may choose to contribute anonymized data to train a shared community model. This requires:
- A separate, additional opt-in beyond the standard Choice Gate
- Data anonymization before contribution (all personally identifiable information removed)
- The right to withdraw contributed data at any time
5. EU AI Act Alignment
ALBOE USA LLC proactively aligns with the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act) risk framework:
- Risk Classification: The Guardian Shield household observation system is classified as a "limited risk" AI system under Article 52, requiring transparency obligations.
- Transparency: Users are clearly informed that they are interacting with an AI system (see Section 2 above).
- Human Oversight: All critical decisions (data storage, report sharing, emergency response) require human authorization through the Choice Gate.
- Data Governance: Training data practices comply with Article 10 requirements for data quality and governance.
- Technical Documentation: Full API documentation is publicly available at /docs.
6. FTC AI Transparency Guidelines (United States)
In compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidance on AI transparency and fairness:
- Truth in advertising: ALBOE does not overstate AI capabilities. We explicitly disclaim algorithmic limitations (Section 3).
- No deceptive practices: AI-generated content is clearly labeled as such.
- Consumer data rights: Users can access, export, and delete all their data at any time.
- Affiliate transparency: All affiliate or sponsored content is clearly marked with visible [Ad] or [Affiliate] labels in high-contrast, non-dark button styling (see Attributions page).
7. Biometric & Wearable Data (Future)
ALBOE's Tier 3 Guardian Shield roadmap includes wearable biometric integration (heart rate, sleep patterns, movement). When deployed:
- All biometric data will be subject to the same AES-256 encryption and Choice Gate consent protocol.
- Biometric data will be classified as "sensitive personal data" under GDPR Article 9 and treated accordingly.
- Users will receive explicit, separate consent forms for biometric data collection.
- ALBOE will comply with all applicable biometric privacy laws, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) where applicable.
8. Hedera Distributed Ledger Integration
ALBOE's system integrity may be anchored to the Hedera Consensus Service for immutable milestone logging. This integration:
- Logs system integrity hashes only — never unencrypted user data
- Provides a tamper-proof audit trail for system operations
- Is used exclusively for technical verification, not user surveillance
9. Responsible AI Development Commitment
ALBOE USA LLC commits to:
- Regular algorithmic audits for bias and accuracy
- Transparent disclosure of AI capabilities and limitations
- Ongoing alignment with evolving AI regulations worldwide
- Community participation in responsible AI development through the ALBOE Foundation
- Prioritizing human dignity and safety above commercial interests
